Double Dragon II - The Revenge (World) (MAME) on September 19, 2009
Classic DD gaming continued.
If you like DD1 then you shouldn't be disappointed with this game. In fact apart from the control system, which I'll get to, it's too much like its predecessor. The developers seem to have reused a lot of the previous game's sprites and backgrounds. The biggest change is to the control system. This now consists of an effective but initially awkward two way attack system. I'll explain, Instead of the one button for kick one for punch setup, you now have one button for left attack the other for right. It's a matter of personal taste as to which one you'll prefer.

The developers seem to have reused a lot of the previous game's sprites and backgrounds. The biggest change is the control system. Which now consists of an effective, though initially awkward, two way attack system. I'll explain: Instead of the one button for kick one for punch setup, you now have one button for left attack the other for right. It's a matter of personal taste as to which one you'll prefer. One last thing, the notorious DD slowdown hasn't been eradicated. So you'll still occasionally feel like you're fighting in glue.
