Old school excellence
One of the best platform game one could ever play, may seem a bit fast to begin with but soon you wouldn't want it any other way. True old school brillence.
Sengoku 2 (NeoGeo CD), by neogeoowner - September 1, 2014
Pointless since 3 came out
Sengoku 2 was never one of the best looking Neo Geo games even back in the day. It hasn't aged well and looks terrible next to Sengoku 3 and the Capcom arcade beat em ups. The neo geo was capable of more. It is like their artist was on vacation when ...
Double Dragon II - The Revenge (World) (MAME), by neogeoowner - August 12, 2014
not nearly as good as the 1st one
I remember the first time I played double Dragon 2 in the arcades when I was a kid, I thought the controls were broken. In those days, it was unusual for arcades buttons to be wired up wrong, be broken or sometimes not even have the right number.

...

Soccer Brawl (MAME), by neogeoowner - August 12, 2014
fun and less serious soccer games
There are plenty of serious soccer simulations on home consoles these days, with realistic graphics and animation, plus all of the well known football teams to choose from. The problem is that they are not that much fun for non-soccer fans.

Socce...

Captain Commando (World 911014) (MAME), by neogeoowner - August 9, 2014
a lot of fun
Those of use who used to play these games in the arcades will remember that they offered huge sprites and generally superior graphics to anything ported to a home console. Captain Commando has the elements that you are looking for from a classic arca...
Viewpoint (MAME), by neogeoowner - August 8, 2014
Shame it doesn't work on mame
Viewpoint looks like a 3d shooter made with polygons but the angular 3d ships were actually 2d sprites that took advantage of the Neo Geo's excellent (and at the time, unique) sprite scaling. It was ahead of it's time but that is not what I remember ...
Pac-Attack (E) (Super Nintendo), by stewiebaby14 - July 26, 2014
Awesome
A classic. Totally awesome stuff. Blast from the past.
WWF Wrestlemania Arcade (Aug 1995) (F) [!] (Sega Genesis), by hassle - June 1, 2014
Best wrestling arcade game
Best wrestling arcade game!
(), by lightcross - October 24, 2013

This game are actually very very good. Long run, various power ups (and there's shop too), various world stage, and good story. The game play also not very hard, i can say its just normal. Kind like Zelda, but in side scrolling. This actually only av...
P.O.W. - Prisoners of War (US) (MAME), by johnbabes - December 28, 2012
just another beat em up
I\'ve not played this for a while and i dare say most people that do play this game will find that it\'s just like a few other (beat em up\'s> like3 SOR or final fight ish type games.this does a nice job in the graphics set in a pow camp at the start...
(), by Christdave123 - November 18, 2012
With a couple minor adjustments, a pretty freakin\' nice game!
Wave Race 64 for what it is rocks the N64 system. Graphics are fairly smooth and depending on the controller you\'re using, possibly with a couple tweaks to the button config, steering and performing stunts can be a piece of cake. For fans of the Jet...
Brain Lord (U) [!] (Super Nintendo), by uchuu - October 29, 2012
A very nice game
Brain Lord is a good choice to go if you want to try out a somewhat different action RPG. (no big spoilers)

The fighting system is interesting and IŽd say new for its time. Your character moves and attacks similar to Zeldas Link, but you can make ...

Pang (World) (MAME), by nikman - September 30, 2012
I hated this one
I never liked this one as a kid because my genre was \"beat em up\". Later, when I grew older and when I got MAME, I gave it a chance.

Pang is arcade game where you have to break big bobble into smaller ones, and so on until you destroy it complet...

Bad Dudes vs. Dragonninja (US) (MAME), by nikman - September 30, 2012
For me, this one belong to the top
Side scrolling beat em up game which with a lot of skill can be finished with one coin.

I played this one as a kid. You play some Bruce Lee clone guy/s and you are on the mission to save American president Ronald Reagan from the hords of ninjas. Y...

Final Fight (World) (MAME), by nikman - September 30, 2012
In the era of beat em up, this one was maybe the best!
The only bad thing about this game is that I never managed to finish it with one coin. It was too hard for that. Even today when I have MAME, I can get to the last stage, but that is my maximum. Last stage is really hard. On some places you will have...
Blazing Star (MAME), by eatmyschwartz - September 24, 2012
Great Game
I am a Neo Geo fanatic and this is a good game for people who can\'t handle the bullet hell style overhead flying shooters on the Neo Geo.. When you start crying because Aero Fighters keeps chewing you up and spitting you out, this is a great title t...
King of the Monsters (set 1) (MAME), by reddemon - July 29, 2012
Monsters set to battle
6 monsters to choose from. Astroman was my favortie. its like wwe superstars, except your not in a wrestling ring, you fight in part of the city. Punch, kick, jump & power move (missile attack) to wear your opponent down. Then pin for victory. other ...
Smash T.V. (rev 4.00) (MAME), by johnbabes - July 28, 2012
i\'ll buy that for a :-)
This is still one of them fun shooters that is hard to master but so easy to play, you take part in a game show and as such you have to survie wave after wave of baddies and also pick up lots of extra along the way like tv\'s :) power up\'s and even c...

whip swingin mofo
castlevania is one of the many great games from the nintendo era that actually made it worth while to spend hours staring at th tv. over the years the game play went in different directions mostly favoring rpg styled leveling up and map exploration, ...

good game
This game is a great game, it contains all the epic feeling of the previous Dragon Quest games and adds plenty of new and fresh aspects. I personally will recommend this game to just about anyone thats looking for a great RPG to play, or even just a ...

Great game!
One of my biggest Nintendo favourites. Good graphics and sound, very fun gameplay, sense of humor, plenty of varianty in levels - all of these ingredients make Battletoads a must-play game for any Nintendo gamer. That being said, the game tends to be...

Fantastic game
Quite possibly the best wrestling game ever created for N64 and a fantastic wrestling game overall. If you can get past the fact that the game is in Japanese, you will have a great time playing this. Lots of characters to choose from and tons of diff...
5 A Side Footy (UK) (1986) (CPC), by seneka77 - June 3, 2012
easy footbal 5 a side game
As 5-a-side game, let you to use walls, there is no throw in neither corners kick.

Game is very easy to control, and also so easy to win the computer.

Control of the power shot is handled by the time you press the button.

The keeper also act as a ...

Shining Force (US) (Sega Master System), by djkudick - May 26, 2012
Old time favorite game.
I fell in love with this as a kid when I rented it from a local game shop back in the day. I often still find myself going back to play through the game often enough with a different party set up. This is by my favorite tactical RPG along with Vand...
Alex Kidd - The Lost Stars (Sega Master System), by johnbabes - April 17, 2012
Stars in your keyes :-)

Corpse Killer (U)(192kbps) (Sega CD), by tg88 - April 17, 2012
Brings Back Memories
I will admit, the overall gameplay is very lacking. I remember playing this game back when I was somewhere around 6 or 7 and I was blown away at the fact that it was "real people" (quite a sight for a kid who'd only played stuff like Super Mario on ...

S.T.U.N. Runner (rev 2) (MAME), by johnbabes - March 24, 2012
Still a good game
This has dated just a tiny bit not really hard to master.Could be a bit better in the graphics dept and the spund fx's could have been better. But aside from that this is still a nice game to play from yesteryear enjoy .....
D&D - Warriors of the Eternal Sun (U) [!] (Sega Genesis), by Valour - March 23, 2012
Real-Time Combat Classic RPG
Definitely an immersive game, D&D Warriors of the Eternal Sun lets you choose from a variety of character races and classes, even rolling for their stats, and naming them. The game combines a 3rd-person overhead view when walking outside with a 1st-p...
Gunstar Heroes (E) (Sega Genesis), by Valour - March 23, 2012
Fantastic Multiplayer Action Game
I'm more of an RPG guy myself, but if you have someone else beside you, it would be hard to find another game comparable to Gunstar Heroes for multiplayer value. It's fast-paced, has great controls, and even managed to put together a halfway interest...
